              World Map Guide & Tutorial

              Spatial cartography, landmarks & geography

              The World Map provides a spatial visual canvas for your story universe. Pin citadels, waypoints, and regions across a procedural cartography grid or your own uploaded high-res fantasy map.

              How to Use the Map

              1. Pan & Zoom: Click and drag anywhere on the map to pan. Use your mouse scroll wheel, trackpad pinch, or the ＋ / － buttons to zoom.
              2. Place Landmark Pins: Click + Drop Pin (or double-click anywhere on the map) to enter placement mode, then click the desired location. Give your pin a title and link it to an existing note.
              3. Inspect & Jump into Notes: Click any map pin to reveal its dossier preview card. Click Open Note in Editor ↗ to jump straight into writing that location's lore.
              4. Upload Custom Maps: Click Upload Map to import your own custom cartography image (PNG, JPG, WebP). Reset anytime with Reset Map.

              Timeline Guide & Tutorial

              Chronology, epochs & narrative milestones

              The Chronology Timeline organizes historical events, character arcs, and world milestones across an interactive timeline rail and vertical story stream.

              How to Use the Timeline

              1. Switch Views: Toggle between Rail View (horizontal timeline clustered by Eras) and Stream View (vertical story feed).
              2. Add Milestones: Click + Add Event to manually record a date/year (e.g. Year 342), era grouping (e.g. Age of Foundations), event title, and significance.
              3. Pan & Zoom Rail: Drag left or right on the horizontal rail to navigate through time. Scroll wheel or trackpad pinch zooms the timeline density.
              4. Jump into Notes: Click any event card in rail or stream view to open or auto-create its corresponding note in the editor.

              The Character Codex tracks your narrative cast and dynamic allegiances. Inspect character dossiers or explore alliances, rivalries, and bloodlines in the interactive relationship web.

              How to Use the Codex

              1. Dossiers vs Web: Toggle between Dossiers (card grid with archetype badges and lore snippets) and Relationship Web (interactive force graph).
              2. Create Characters: Click + Character to record name, archetype (Protagonist, Antagonist, Ally, Mentor, Rival), faction, role, and bio.
              3. Connect Relationships: Click + Relationship to bind two characters with relationships (Allied with, Rival of, Kin to, Mentor to, Bound to) and notes.
              4. Inspect & Jump to Dossier: Click any character card or web node to inspect relationships, or click Open Dossier Note ↗ to edit their full lore note.
